Family Owned Since 1982
With a garage for a workshop and a $5,000 investment, The Wood Carte was initially launched in 1982 by brothers Lindsay, Kelly and Chris Carte. Although The Wood Carte has continued to evolve, the ultimate goal remains the same today as it was in the very beginning – unequaled selection and consistent value in New York hardwood furniture.
From One Generation to the Next
Kelly and Lindsay have since retired, leaving Chris to mold the next generation of Cartes. His son Jeremy is now a vital link in the family business.
